Comparing MacBook Pro 2013, Lenovo Ideapad Yoga 13 and Acer Aspire S7
The MacBook Pro 2013 is a 130inch device featuring Retina Display and with exhilarating battery life. Integrated graphics are quite impressive and it features 2 fast Thunderbolt ports and also boasts of a lower price tag as compared to the previous year’s version. However, the bad part about the MacBook Pro 2013 is that it still remains very expensive if one wants to add more RAM or storage. There is no option for adding Nvidia graphics for the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2013 version. Also, the MBP is heavier and thicker compared to MacBook Air. If you are really not an Apple fanatic, then you can easily find many high-resolution laptops at a much lower price. For the IdeaPad Yoga 13, Lenovo has introduced three main configurations. For the one priced at $999, the device comes with Intel Core i3 processor, 128 GB SSD and 4 GB RAM. For the $1000 priced IdeaPad, there is an Intel Core i5 processor and 8 GB RAM. Finally, the one priced at $1,299, the IdeaPad features a powerful Core i7 processor. Of all the three models, the one priced at $1,099 seems a good bet. The Acer Aspire S7 also boasts of a striking design. The new S7 laptop is powered by the advanced Intel Haswell processor that not just delivers superior performance but also is battery-friendly. However, the keyboard and the touch pad could have been much better considering that the Aspire S7 is priced at a whopping $1,400. Some other top-end ultrabooks are priced much less with the same features. The bottom line is that the Acer Aspire S7 is one of the much preferred devices on the Windows 8 platform. It holds up pretty well and also gets a much anticipated update in the form of the latest processor that greatly enhances the battery life.
