BlackBerry has shown inclination towards touch screen technology as it announced the launching of its five inch BlackBerry Leap. The announcement to this effect was made at Mobile World Congress at Barcelona today. BlackBerry also showed teaser of a curved phone with a slider keyboard. The phone is likely to be launched later this year. Though Leap is not being seen as a flagship device, those in the business community can benefit immensely from the smart phone as it is likely to have a battery life of 25 hours. The device is all set to retail for $275 and is likely to go in for sale in Europe this April only. The devise is likely to have a high definition screen, eight megapixel rear facing and a two megapixel front facing camera. Another innovation which has come up in recent days in BlackBerry is the willingness to tie up with other brands like Samsung for business promotion. Leap is not the only new innovation that BlackBerry is coming up. The company is likely to launch another smart phone that will feature a keyboard. Though BlackBerry is becoming more of a service providing company, it is not completely giving up the idea of launching new phones.
