These benefits are so good that you might get anxious to start taking advantage of them, making you curious about how much longer you have until you reach your next friendship level. Our tutorial below will show you where to find this information in the game.
How to View the Number of Days Remaining Before a Pokemon Go Friendship Level Increase
The steps in this article were performed on an iPhone 7 Plus in iOS 11.3.2. I am using the most current version of Pokemon Go that was available at the time this article was written. Below are a few things to keep in mind when you are checking this information.
The number of days remaining before a level increase seems to be bugged for some people. Completing an action that should advance the friendship level sometimes only seems to take effect for one of the people in the friendship. This will almost certainly be fixed at some point soon, but it is something to be aware of if you find that the number of days remaining is not increasing. You can advance your friendship by sending a gift, trading, participating in the same raid together, or battling a gym together. You need to perform a friendship action to increase your friendship level. Simply being in-game friends is not enough to advance it.
Step 1: Open Pokemon Go.
Step 2: Touch your trainer icon at the bottom-left.
Step 3: Choose the Friends tab at the top of the screen.
Step 4: Select the friend for whom you would like to view the current friendship status.
Step 5: Tap the trainer name at the top-left of the screen.
Step 6: Tap the star in the circle to the right of the leftmost filled circle. In the picture below, that would be the third circle.
Step 7: Note the number of days remaining until the next friendship level increase. There are 22 days before an increase in the picture below.
