Design There isn’t much of a variation in terms of design as both the phones are made of Aluminium with the trademark Apple logo on the backside. The iPhone 6 plus is bit thicker (7.1 mm) as compared to iPhone 6(6.8 mm). Shades are similar and you will find both the phones in dark grey/silver, light grey/silver and light golden shades. Screen This is one major area in which iPhone 6 Plus scores over iPhone 6. The screen size in iPhone 6 Plus is 5.5 inch in comparison to 4.7 inch screen size of iPhone 6. The display technology is remarkably similar with both using IPS displays. iPhone 6 Plus offers a pixel density of 400 ppi in comparison to 326 ppi of iPhone 6. Camera Apart from redesigning of sensors nothing much has changed in the camera which is much similar to what one saw in iPhone 5S. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have an 8 megapixel sensor which offer 1.5 micron sensor pixels. The only distinct demarcation between the camera feature in both these phones is the presence of optical image stabilization in iPhone 6 Plus while the other variant has the characteristic software stabilization. Clicking worthy pictures in low light resolution will be easier in iPhone 6 Plus in comparison to iPhone 6. Software Not much progress on this front as both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus run on iOS8 and will give UI experience much similar to the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. Access to App Store will be much better in both these variants in comparison to previous models though. Better battery life is also guaranteed as iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus offer 11 and 12 hours of browsing. Apple has undoubtedly worked hard to rise to the occasion and both these phones are likely to leave a positive impression for any technology buff.
