ET News, a Korean publication has reported that Samsung is planning to release two different version of the yet to be announced Galaxy S5. According to the report, there will be two editions of the Galaxy S5. One will be a premium variant sporting a metal chassis apart from a flexible OLED. The other variant will get a typical plastic body, as seen in other Galaxy smartphones. Also, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is speculated to come with iris-scanner features, something not seen before on earlier Galaxy phones. It goes without saying that the modern-day gadget buyers are getting increasingly passionate about iris recognition technology. Young –hee stated that Samsung also considers including the iris-scanner feature in the Galaxy S5, and this will be competing with the Touch ID fingerprint-scanning biometric authentication, launched by Apple for the iPhone 5S. It is also rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be launched in April 2014 though Samsung has not confirmed the release date yet. Samsung has taken a major step with the launch of Galaxy SmartGear. Indeed, wearable tech devices have ignited a volcano of creativity and hope that is engaging big players as well as start-ups. Companies like LG, Sony and Samsung are some of the leading players to play with this new trend. At the Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas, several companies displayed several new tech watches, eyeglasses and wristbands with built-in cameras or video screens.
