Find Unread Messages in Outlook 2013

The filter method outlined below is going to work for the mail folder that is currently selected. So while we are focusing on finding an unread message in the Inbox, you can apply this method to any other folder in the column at the left side of your window.   Step 1: Launch Outlook 2013.   Step 2: Click the folder in which you want to locate your unread messages from the folder list at the left side of the window.

    Step 3: Click the Home tab at the top of the window.

    Step 4: Click the Filter Email button in the Find section of the ribbon at the top of the window.

    Step 5: Click the Unread option at the top of the list.

    Step 6: Click the Close Search button in the ribbon at the top of the window.
